The monument consists of a cairn with a cist in the centre. The cairn is about 5m in diameter and 0.6m high and a number of slabs are visible forming an edge to the cairn. A cist formed by three stone slabs is exposed in the centre. The cist is 0.9m E-W by 0.4m wide and 0.2m deep. The area to be scheduled measures 25m in diameter, to include the cairn and an area around in which traces of activities associated with its construction and use may survive, as shown in red on the attached plan.
