The monument comprises the remains of a drystone ring fort of prehistoric date surviving as a ruined structure, together with a series of potentially associated slighter structures.
The monument forms one of a group of four ring forts in this part of Glen Lyon. It measures some 13.5m in internal diameter within walls up to 3.5m wide standing several courses high. An entrance is preserved in the W arc. A massive natural boulder has been incorporated into the N part of the structure. The structure probably represents a domestic building of the later prehistoric period.
To the S of the ring fort are a series of grassed-over walls and slight rectilinear buildings. These may represent contemporary auxilliary structures or later settlement.
The area to be scheduled encompasses the visible features and an area around them in which traces of associated activity may be expected to survive. It is sub-circular with a maximum diameter of 60m as marked
in red on the accompanying map.

The monument is of national importance because of its potential to add to our understanding of later prehistoric settlement and economy. Its importance is greatly enhanced by its close association with other structures of similar type in this part of Glen Lyon.
