The monument comprises the remains of two hut circles - houses of the later Bronze Age, some 3000 years old - lying in unimproved ground to the west of a modern sheepfold.
The circles measure about 8m in diameter and appear to be in good condition, having suffered little disturbance.
The area to be scheduled measures a maximum of 50m WNW to ESE by a maximum of 75m transversely, to include the two circles and an area around them in which traces of activities associated with their construction and use may survive, as marked in red on the attached map.

The monument is of national importance as a well preserved pair of hut circles which have the potential to enhance considerably our understanding of prehistoric settlement in the area.
