Hannah Coling Memorial Stone

Uploader's Comments

About 300 yards to the South West of the round barrows on the open moor at NZ 73779 10369
is a memorial stone to Hannah Coling. The engraving on the stone reads:
H Coling, Perished Here, January 27,1848.
She was 29 years old and perished in a snowstorm, the stone is in the middle of the moor well away from any path so she must have lost her way. Her body was not found for 3 days.
