Central Round Barrow

Uploader's Comments

In this view taken in the snow mid march 2013, we are looking towards the north at the central of the three round barrows on Middle Rigg/Three Howes Rigg. Cannon Atkinson Vicar of Danby from 1847 - 1900 excavated this barrow and found Pygmy Vessels and a Cremation according to Frank Elgees 1930 book - Early Man in North East Yorkshire.
