In this view of the ROC monitoring station we are looking in a westerly direction. This particular station first opened in 1959 and closed at the end of the Cold War in 1991. It looks like someone has taken steps to preserve this one as the paint looks relatively new and the entrance hatch is well locked with three sturdy padlocks to keep the vandals out
