A Scheduled Monument in Eston, Redcar and Cleveland

Eston Nab Iron Age Fort rampart and ditch looking west

Uploader's Comments

During excavations of the rampart in 1928 a small amount of coarse pottery was found and in 1966 some late Bronze Age pottery was found within the rampart. Also Mesolithic flints found in the area indicate that the site has been used by man from even earlier times.
