Eston Nab Iron Age Fort photo taken stood on the rampart looking east

Uploader's Comments

The ditch in front of the rampart can clearly be seen in this photo. The rampart itself is an earthen bank about 6ft high backed by a stone wall.It is thought that either a stone or wooden palisade may have stood on this rampart
