The monument comprises a group of four hut circles and an area around them containing evidence of agricultural activity. Two of the hut circles are already scheduled; this re-scheduling proposal extends protection to the other two and to a larger surrounding area.
The hut circles - the foundations for prehistoric timber houses - are loosely grouped together at around 250m OD on a SE-facing hillslope, overlooking upper Strath Sgitheach. The most easterly circle (which lies about 25m from the edge of a large forestry plantation) measures about 11m by 13m, with an entrance on the SSE side. Just over 100m to the NNE lies a second hut circle, of similar size but with no apparent entrance.
Some 180m to the NE of the first circle lie another two hut circles, only 1m apart, one about 12m by 9m with an entrance on the SSE, and the other about 17m by 15m with an entrance on the S. Around these hut circles, especially noticeable by the first (most easterly) circle, lies a scatter of small cairns of field-cleared stone, indicating contemporary agricultural activity.
The area now to be scheduled is an irregular oval, with a straight section on the WSW side, parallel to the edge of the forestry plantation. The area measures a maximum of 290m NE-SW by a maximum of 175m transversely, to include all four hut circles and an area around them scattered with small cairns, as marked in red on the accompanying map.
