The monument comprises a barrow of prehistoric date, visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs.

The monument lies in arable farmland at around 15m OD. There is a circular ditch measuring about 8m in overall diameter, with the ditch about 1m wide. Within the interior is a pit. The monument probably represents the remains of a barrow with a central burial pit, a type characteristic of the Bronze Age.

The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 35m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
