The monument comprises a hut circle of prehistoric date, visible as turf-covered wall foundations.
The monument lies in rough pasture at around 160m OD. It comprises the footings of a circular hut measuring about 11m in internal diameter. Its turf-covered stone wall measures about 2m wide by 0.3m in height. The entrance is on the SE and is about 1.5m wide. The wall terminal on the S side of the entrance expands to about 5m-6m wide and about 0.5m-1m in height, which may be due to a secondary cairn overlying the wall of the hut circle at this point.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains of the hut circle and possible cairn as described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 40m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
