The monument comprises two hut circles of prehistoric date, visible as turf-covered foundations, and associated remains of fields.
The monument lies in rough pasture at around 165m OD, in a dip to the N of Loan Hill. It comprises the wall-footings of two approximately circular huts and an area around them in which traces of contemporary fields survive. The more south-westerly hut circle stands near the summit of a low rise, and measures about 7.5m in diameter. Its walls survive as a peat-covered mound about 2m thick by 0.3m in height. The entrance is on the SE. About 100m to its ENE, the second hut measures about 8.5m NNE-WSW by 7.5m transversely. Its walls survive as a stony bank about 2m thick by 0.3m in height. The entrance is on the ESE and to either side of it the arc of the wall straightens out. Between and around these two hut circles are traces of former field walls, in the form of boulders protruding from the turf and forming short linear stretches.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is rectangular, measuring 100m approximately NW-SE by 200m approximately NE-SW, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
