The monument comprises two cairns 60m apart, measuring 5m in diameter. The SE one is 0.6m high, the other 0.3m high. They are burial cairns of the earlier Bronze Age. The area to be scheduled measures 100m NW to SE by 40m transversely, to include the cairns and an area around them in which traces of activity associated with their construction and use may survive.

The monument is of national importance because burial cairns are uncommon in this area, as are any remains of settlement of this period. The cairns will cover one or more burials; they have the potential to enhance considerably our understanding of burial and ceremonial practices in the area.
