The monument comprises a ring-ditch house of prehistoric date, visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies in arable farmland at around 45m OD. It comprises a ring-ditch with a diameter of approximately 11m. The ditch is about 2m wide. Ring-ditches such as these have been found on excavation to represent the remains of large timber roundhouses of later prehistoric date.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to survive. It is circular with a diameter of 35m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
