The monument comprises a fort of prehistoric date, visible as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies in arable farmland at around 10m OD. The fort is circular with two concentric ditches. The inner ditch encloses an area about 30m in diameter, and the ditch measures up to 6m wide. The outer ditch is about 10m away from the inner and has an overall diameter of about 65m, the ditch being about 2m-3m wide. There appears to be an entrance on the E. Forts such as this are characteristic of the Iron Age.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 90m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
