The monument is a prehistoric settlement consisting of four well-defined house platforms, grouped in two pairs, on the E-facing slopes NW of the mouth of Carle Gill. The area to be scheduled is rectangular, 120m N-S by 75m E-W, as delineated in red on the attached plan.
