Description

This monument is a hut circle situated in a sheltered position on S- facing moorland.

The hut circle is defined by a circular stone and turf wall measuring about 8.5m in diameter. The wall is about 1.5m across and several boulders are visible forming traces of its outer face. The hut circle has an entrance to the E. There is a possible annexe, about 2m square, attached to the ENE arc of the hut circle.

The area to be scheduled measures about 42m in diameter, to include the hut circle and an area around in which traces of activities associated with the construction and occupation of the building may survive, as shown in red on the accompanying map extract.
