This monument consists of a hut circle in a sheltered location on a SE-facing slope.
This is a substantial hut circle incorporating quite a large quantity of stone. The hut is 5.5m in diameter and has a wall 1.2m thick. Stones marking the inner and outer face of the wall are visible at intermittent intervals. The entrance is to the E and is apparently defined by a stone-lined passageway.
The area to be scheduled measures 40m E-W by 40m N-S, to include the hut circle and an area around in which traces of activities associated with the construction and occupation of the hut may survive, as shown in red on the attached map extract.
