The monument comprises the remains of two ring ditch houses of later prehistoric date represented by cropmarks visible on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies in arable farmland at around 110m OD. It comprises two ring ditches set about 20m apart, each with a diameter of about 20m, each defined by a ditch approximately 2m wide. Ring ditches such as these have been shown on excavation to represent the remains of former timber roundhouses of later prehistoric date.
The area to be scheduled encompasses the remains described and an area around them in which traces of associated activity may be expected to survive. It is circular with a diameter of 80m as marked in red on the accompanying map.
