This kiln is situated opposite a farm/wood chipper on the Twiston Road approx 1k out of Downham Village. GR SD78871 44457.
A single pot flare, or draw type kiln, used to burn limestone, and is situated at the rear of a stone-walled lime yard which was used for storage.
