Located by the side of the Castleton / Hutton Le Hole Road near Flat Howe.It is a Bronze Age Standing Stone which in medieval times was used as a waymarker. In the 18th century it was utilized as a Boundary Stone when the initials TD (Thomas Duncombe) of the local landowner where carved upon it.It is still used as a Boundary stone today. The Jenny Bradley Cross on Rudland Rigg is supposedly Margery's sister. The name Bradley is a corruption of the medieval "Breadlesse", the name for a Beggar.
