Old St James' Church

A Scheduled Monument in Woolsthorpe By Belvoir, Lincolnshire

Churchyard wall and site of old St James church, Woolsthorpe By Belvoir

Uploader's Comments

The ironstone rubble of the wall is representative of the building materials for many local churches contemporary with old St James. The collapsed ruin of the church can be seen as a green mound, free of headstones, to the right. The deciduous trees in the middle of the picture grow out of the nave. (Photo May 2013).
