One of the Belvoir Angels headstones. Engraved by a local craftsman in the Vale of Belvoir on Swithland slate. William son of Matthew Rementon by Mary his Wife d. 6th May 1730 in the 12th year of his age. -O cruel death that would no longer spare/ A loving child unto his parents dear/ He at his book took great delight ( so )/ ( ) The Lord was pleasd to call his own/ ( ) them that ( )/ ( )-. Some of the inscription is submerged. (Photo May 2013).
