Hut Circle East of Cymerau Uchaf

A Scheduled Monument in Ffestiniog, Gwynedd

Roman marching camp at Pen y Gwryd.

Uploader's Comments

Pen y Gwryd has pill boxes, it also has much earlier archaeology in the form of a Roman marching camp, this is dicussed in some depth with loads of photos at Kanovium Project. A disjointed site only worth visiting for the suberb location and the paucity of Roman remains in the area.
The plan by Kanovium Project has been digitally created using Adobe Photoshop.
