This monument is a chambered cairn which appears originally to have been about 15m in diameter. The cairn is crossed by an old field dyke on its W side. An internal chamber is indicated by the tops of 5 stones forming the divisional slabs and back of the chamber. There is no sign of the passageway but this probably entered from the E. The area to be scheduled measures 55m in diameter, to include the chambered cairn and an area around in which traces of activities associated with the construction and use of the chambered cairn will survive.
