Uploader's Comments

This castle was built in 1326 by Sir John Campbell of Lochawe a supporter of Robert Bruce. It consists of curtain walls with round corner towers and was originally surrounded by water drained about 1720. It is difficult to tell but recently the walls were cleared of vegetation and stonework conserved. Good interpretation boards have been set up nearby.
