The monument comprises an enclosure, probably a henge monument, of prehistoric date, visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument is located within arable farmland at a height of around 40m OD. It comprises a circular enclosure with a broad ditch, measuring approximately 30m in diameter. It is likely to represent the remains of a henge monument, a ceremonial enclosure of the later Neolithic period.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular on plan and measures 60m in diameter, as marked in red on the accompanying map.

The monument is of national importance because of its potential to contribute to our understanding of prehistoric ritual and religion. It is of particular importance because of its close proximity to a number of additional monuments of a similar date, in particular the monuments of the west, north of Leadketty farm.
