Description

The monument comprises an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date, visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs.

The monument lies in arable farmland at about 25m OD. It comprises an enclosed settlement, defined by a single ditch enclosing a sub-circular area measuring approximately 60m in diameter. A number of amorphous cropmarks within the enclosure indicate the positions of internal structures and deposits.

The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular, with a diameter of 80m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
