The monument comprises an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date, visible as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs.
The monument lies in arable farmland at around 15m OD. There is a sub-circular ditched enclosure measuring about 42m in maximum diameter, with the ditch about 1m-2m wide. There appear to be entrances on the S, W and E. Cropmarks within the interior indicate the survival of internal deposits.
The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 80m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
