Description

A dun measuring 20m in diameter over a wall spread up to 5.0m wide. The entrance is on the east. The area to be scheduled measures 55m in diameter to include the structure described above and an area around it in which traces of activities associated with its use will survive, as detailed in red on the attached map.

Statement of Scheduling

The site is of national importance for its potential to enhance our understanding of prehistoric settlement. It is of particular importance because of the survival nearby of contemporary monuments, which can increase our understanding of the development and organisation of the area in the Iron Age.
