Description

The scheduled area comprises a dun, a group of hut circles, four small enclosures, a field system, a linear stone-revetted bank, a ruined rectangular building, a patch of rig-and-furrow cultivation, a section of abandoned roadway and several shieling-like structures, enclosed within an area 380m E-W by 420m N-S, as shown in red on the accompanying plan.

The site is of national importance for the evidence that it provides, and has the potential to provide, for land use and settlement in the Bronze Age and Iron Age and in later periods.
