Statement of Scheduling

The monument is of national importance as a good field example of an isolated platform house site which seems to have been isolated when built, rather than being part of a largely destroyed settlement. The archaeological evidence preserved may shed light on the relationship between individual and grouped platform sites, in terms of both date and function.
