Description

The monument comprises the remains of a ring ditch house of later prehistoric date represented by cropmarks visible on oblique aerial photographs.

The monument lies in arable farmland at around 40m OD. It comprises a ring ditch some 12m in diameter within a ditch some 2m wide. It appears to have an E-facing entrance. Ring ditches such as this have been found, on excavation, to represent the remains of former timber roundhouses of the later prehistoric period.
