Wheeldale Howe

A Scheduled Monument in Hartoft, North Yorkshire

Blue Man-i'-th'-Moss on Wheeldale Howe

Uploader's Comments

Located just below the summit of Wheeldale Howe. it is on the route of the Lyke Wake Walk. Some sources say that it is the largest prehistoric Standing Stone on the Yorkshire Moors, personally I would dispute this. It has been utilised as a boundary stone since medieval times and desecrated with spray paint by modern man. This photo was taken in February 2012
