This stone which is the nearest to the road plus another stone not shown is all that remains of what are known as the Hart Leap Stones which are said to mark the dying leap of a Stag . They are in reality probably all the remains of what was an ancient stone row. They are in fact not far from the dyke and it makes me wonder did at one time the stone row extend down and along the dyke This photo taken in mid April 2013
