This bronze Age barrow is situated on Springhead Hill, Parham just north of the South Downs Way. An early windmill once existed at Parham, which used a Bronze Age barrow as its base, which may have been this one or the site of one to the east now in woodland. A number of barrows were reused as windmill-steads mainly in the medieval period. Alex Vincent.
