Newly exposed: The barrow has in recent weeks been subject to some welcome attention. The railings which enclosed the barrow have been removed by the council and contractors engaged to clear the dense foliage, which hitherto virtually obscured it from view, to reveal the barrow in all it's glory for the first time in years. Might we look forward to findings from an official exploratory excavation any time soon?
