Uploader's Comments

The Neolithic flint mines on Church Hill, Findon have been ploughed out, but occasionally appear as crop marks. The photograph shows dark marks representing the flint mines and spoil heaps, which were mounds left after the flint miners dug the shafts. The Bronze Age barrows on Church Hill are completely ploughed out and are only visible from aerial photographs and on LiDAR maps. Alex Vincent.
