Traditional County: Pembrokeshire
A fine standing stone measuring 2.2m tall, 1.8m wide and 0.8m deep, located on a gentle E facing slope. It is earthfast, oriented N-S and has a ragged profile tapering to a point.
The standing stone is thought to be of religious or ceremonial significance and to date to the Bronze Age (c.2300 BC - 800 BC). This example is c. 250m SSE of another standing stone (Scheduled Ancient Monument PE355). The monument is likely to retain significant archaeological deposits and enhance our knowledge of prehistoric ritual practices as the boulder-strewn nature of the field means that it has not been ploughed.
The area to be scheduled comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related evidence may be expected to survive. It is circular and measures 10m in diameter.
