There is a causeway on the north side with traces of masonry and within the enclosure are masonry foundations of a building measuring 5 x 6.5m with a small rectangular addition of 3m square. There is a modern tip of hardcore along the western edge of moat. The monument is of national importance for its potential to enhance our knowledge of medieval settlement.
