Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. Single storey, 5-bay near-symmetrical cottage, now shop. Rectangular-plan with curved ends. Stugged pink sandstone ashlar, painted ashlar margins. Base course; eaves band. Projecting bracketed eaves. North (main) elevation: door to outer left, post box to the right of the door and bipartite dormer above. 3 bays grouped to right with centre door with flanking broad windows. Painted eaves band. W (side) elevation: tripartite canted window on corner, blind window at centre, window to outer right (6-pane timber glazing). Large plate glass windows. Graded grey slate roof, lead flashings and cast iron rooflights. Broad corniced stacks, single circular can.
