Description

The monument is a farmstead of the period before the agricultural improvements, some 200 to 400 years old, comprising the remains of a rectangular building, measuring 11.5m x 5.3m overall adjacent to a small contemporary 50m (WNW-ESE) x 90m transversely is proposed for scheduling.

The monument is of national importance as a well preserved farmstead associated with contemporary agricultural features, which has the potential to enhance our understanding of settlement and agriculture in the period before the agricultural revolution.
