Description

This farmstead lies in a small field of improved pasture on the S

flank of Cruise Back Fell. There are the remains of a rectangular building, measuring about 10m by 4m with an adjoining enclosure on

the W. There is another building about 70m to the W. There are also scattered traces of rig-and-furrow cultivation around these remains.

The proposed area for scheduling is an irregular shape, including all

of the field up to 150m E of the W dyke, as marked in red on the accompanying map.
