The monument is a burial cairn of the late neolithic or Bronze Age measuring 8.5m in diameter and 0.4m high. A depression in the middle suggests that the upper cairn matrix has been disturbed; this has
not affected the important parts of the monument. The area to be scheduled encloses the cairn and an area around it within which
traces of activity associated with its use may be found. It measures
20m in diameter, centred on the monument, as marked in red on the attached map.
