Description

The monument comprises an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date, visible as cropmarks on oblique aerial photographs.

The monument lies in arable farmland at around 20m OD. There is a circular ditched enclosure, measuring about 45m in internal diameter. The ditch is about 2m wide and has an entrance on the E. Cropmarks of indistinct plan within the interior may indicate surviving domestic deposits.

The area proposed for scheduling comprises the remains described and an area around them within which related material may be expected to be found. It is circular with a diameter of 80m, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
